Saint James' Episcopal Church has a 250 year old history of worship and service in Danbury, Connecticut. We are located at 25 West Street, across from the public library. Just look for the bright red doors!  Parking is available during service times on West Street and on nearby Terrace Place, as well as in parking lots behind the Church.
Worship Schedule
Sunday 8:00 AM in the Church: Holy Eucharist, with music, following Rite I Liturgy from the Book of Common Prayer.  The Sacramental Rite of Healing is offered the first Sunday of the month, during the service.
Sunday 10:00 AM in the Church: Holy Eucharist, with music, following Rite II Liturgy from the Book of Common Prayer. This is our largest service and includes children more intentionally, although children are most welcome at any service.  The Sacramental Rite of Healing is offered the third Sunday of the month, during the service.
Other Worship Services
Other worship services, book studies and Bible studies are announced seasonally throughout the year at our website, especially during Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter.
Church & School Nursery
Our Nursery is open to children from infancy to age 4 or 5. Nursery care is available during entire the 10 AM Sunday Service.

Our Church School is open to children aged 5 through grade 5 during the 10 AM service in our Luckenbill Fellowship Hall. All Church School children will enter the Church during the Church School entrance hymn, just before the Peace to hear a Children’s Sermon by Father Joseph.

Youth at Saint James'
Young adults, Grades 6 through High School are active participants in our worship service and you will see them as acolytes and lectors, collecting food donations and acting as ushers.

Fellowship
Most Sundays, there is a coffee hour fellowship after the services. This is a perfect time to meet the clergy and other members of our parish.  We want to get to know you! As an usher or any parishioner for directions to our Coffee Hour.
People wear a variety of attire to our church, from jeans to tuxedos! Feel free to dress comfortably and know you will be welcome no matter what. There are many, many ways to become involved in our parish family.
