Week Four

4/2/2022

Some of us were playing catch-up this week, but 13 people reported 555 miles during the week, which brings our journey-to-date to 1,599 miles.  WOW!  Considering the journeys previously recorded, we can now add the Exodus route of 375 miles and be well on the way of the Abraham migration.  We are truly covering a lot of ground, physically and spiritually and have much to celebrate as we continue.

Insights gained at our Monday evening conversation
  • The importance of the role of parents is in guiding the life of our children both spiritually and physically
  • The grocery store can be a house of plenty or a place of temptation; depending on how you view “reading labels” and how you “travel the aisles” when feeding your family
  • Do you have to schedule your prayer life or does it just happen, and how do you feel about it?
  • Is your prayer life structured (formal) or is it a conversation with God?
  • If your body is broken in some way, how does your immediate family and church family support you in your time of need?
  • If you are helping a family member or a member of your church family, how does that act of giving make you feel?
  • Did you pack your backpack for the journey you are on, so that you have the necessary tools to sustain you on your journey; what tools did you pack?
  • Does your journey include sufficient time with your family, enabling you to learn and grow in your faith together?

I have always found joy in anticipation of a trip/journey I’m about to embark upon, whether it’s to a new location or a return to some place I’ve been before.  I wonder what our next stage of the journey will bring those of us who are on Christ Walk.  If you are curious also, join us next Monday at 7 pm for our Zoom discussion so we can get to know each other better.  You can find the link on the church calendar.  See you there!
